Yesterday morning, AM Bushenyi , BM & BE – Ishaka joined Eng. Herbert Mujuni, Project Manager – Warugo Project in the 3rd site progress review meeting for the construction of Bushenyi Water Supply Augmentation Project. Other members present were the contractor’s team headed by Lyu Jintao – PM/Contractor’s Representative & C.O.W – NWSC.
The meeting started with site inspection and the contractor was commended for good quality works done so far.
The contractor is slightly behind schedule as physical progress is at 32% against time progress of 34% however, the contractor pledged to catch up in this month of May as rains are slightly reducing
Below are the highlights of the physical progress of works at different units;
1.
RAW WATER INTAKE & ACCESS ROAD
✅ Site clearing, Earth filling & construction of access road has been done.
- WATER TREATMENT PLANT
✅The contractor has completed civil works for flocculator /coagulator, backwash and Clear Water Tank
✅For the Clarifier; Formwork for 2nd Lift walls and Reinforcements are ongoing
✅For Filters; Concrete casting for first Lift walls are ongoing.
✅For Pump House; Casting of blinding concrete has been completed
✅ Laboratory & Stores; Site clearing & excavation to reduce levels completed
✅Staff Houses; Site clearing & excavation to reduce levels completed - 600m3 STEEL RESERVIOR ON 1M DWARF WALLS
✅Site clearing, excavation to reduce levels, casting of blinding concrete completed - RAW & CLEAR WATER TRANSMISSION MAINS
✅No activity has been done however some pipes have already been delivered on site. - MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL WORKS
✅Materials are under procurement.
