NWSC carries out topographical survey of the sites to enable kick-starting Warugo water Project in Bushenyi

National water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has carried out a survey of sites for water treatment plant, Intake source and Reservoir ( Tank)  . The surveying exercise was led by Mr.Robert Ochieng – Senior Surveyor from NWSC Headquarters- Kampala, Bushenyi Area- NWSC Engineer Magomu Ivan Williamson, Eng Charity Tushenyi – Ishaka Branch Engineer and Mr.Ken Niwamanya – A representative of the contractors.

A reporter of Patriotic News while interviewing Eng Sam kiggundu – Bushenyi Area- NWSC  Manager ; Eng Sam kiggundu said that surveying component is very core because it  helps a contractor to know exactly the land size to carry out his work, detect any encroachment on NWSC property and mitigate all incumbrances that may develop thereafter. Eng Sam adumbrated it that surveying is a safeguarding tool for NWSC property.

Eng Magomu Ivan Williamson-NWSC  Bushenyi Area Engineer said that they physically had former landlords whom NWSC bought land from  to amicably agree on the boundaries of land to have non – Contentious land  demarcations and Eng Ivan Magomu said was too happy because of the cooperation they gave and confided in him  that they don’t have any grievances with NWSC  since were paid fully.

Once Warugo water Project is completed, it will supply safe and clean water to 150,600 people in Kakanju, Ruhumuro, Kyamuhunga and Bitooma subcounties and surplus water will be piped to Bushenyi Ishaka municipality,  Will supply 2.5 million litres of water each day . Warugo water Project is estimated to cost 11.8 billions Ug Shillings.
