Today 19th December 2022, Bushenyi women leaders and selected Women Entrepreneurs have begun their two day non residential workshop at Bushenyi Multipurpose Hall under auspices of Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social development. Hon Annet Katusiime Mugisha extended her gratitude to Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social development for making such unique workshop aimed at socially and economically empowering a woman especially Women leaders who become agents of change vis -as-vis women emancipation. Hon Annet Katusiime Mugisha thanked NRM government under able leadership of H.E Museveni that has sowed seeds of women emancipation in Uganda and called upon all women participants to have raison d’etre to support NRM government.
Hon Annet Katusiime Mugisha further called upon women participants that gender quality doesn’t mean being disrespectful and disloyal to their husbands but being partners with men in production/ development, empowering a girl child through education , inculcating work values and mitigating all forms of domestic violence and inferably called upon women leaders to mitigate all forms that cause gender inequality and disparity.
