Yesterday 18th May 2023; Board , Supervisory , Vetting Committee and Management staff members of Bamugisha Community Welfare Beneficiaries SACCO attended a workshop intended to equip them with best Sacco practices, their roles, being cognizant of attractive loan products, loan recovery strategies, fraud detection tips , business ethical values , common governance gaps in Saccos and membership mobilisation, recruitment and retention.
Technical facilitators were engaged to delve into motley of topics as forementioned above. The facilitators showcased their gratitude upon the mission, vision and objectives of the Sacco and were more happy about the so far financial discipline exhibited by Board members , management staff and progressive growth of Sacco membership. They said that the future of the Sacco is very promising.
Hon Katusiime Annet Mugisha ; the associate Patron of the Sacco sponsored the training. Hon Annet Katusiime Mugisha said trainings from such well decorated Technical facilitators make Board and management members to do their work diligently cognizant of their roles, code of conduct, laws governing Saccos and being equipped with skills to make loan appraisals to mitigate loan defaults that always limbo Sacco liquidity.
Mr.Karuti steven; the Board Chairman of the Sacco said they got multiplicity of skills from training especially on their code of conduct, roles and embracing best Sacco practices that make Bamugisha Sacco to reckon with. Madam Winnie ; the General Manager said that the workshop helped them mostly on how to cause solid accountability of Sacco funds, detect fraud, make loan appraisals not to be vulnerable to loan defaults and how best to make membership mobilisation.
