Today Katatumba Academy has celebrated 40 years of its existence. The day began with a sacrifice of mass celebrated by Fr.Richard Beinomugisha.
Dr.Arch William Katatumba said he started Katatumba Academy when education system in uganda was in limbo which precipitated him to start Katatumba Academy because he found it expensive educating his children from Kenya when he would establish a school in Uganda with international standards. Dr.William Katatumba said that he started Katatumba Academy to give holistic education with international character.
Dr.George William Katatumba further said that Katatumba Academy continues to have best learning environment with extra curricular activities that are rarely found in other schools. Dr.William Katatumba said he set up swimming pool, Basket ball/ Tenis courts, Horses riding and other sport facilities so that learners could unlock their talent potentiality to fullness.
On this foundation day; Katatumba Academy is to host Regional Mastemind quiz that is to attract many schools in Western Uganda.
