National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) – Mbarara like other organisations has been central in promoting campaign to save R.Rwizi and all NWSC staff Mbarara sub region attended even other NWSC staff from other areas.
General Manager- NWSC Mbarara Dennis Muramuzi Araali said that R.Rwizi gives 80% of clean water in Greater Mbarara and further said that its exigent intervention of NWSC to save R.Rwizi because reduced Water levels River Rwizi due to environmental degradation puts NWSC core role to provide safe and clean water into crisis.
Mr.Dennis Muramuzi inferably said Mbarara City is growing rapidly and thus, consistent and sustainable water supply is a sine qua non for its development because people need water for domestic consumption, factories, hotels and construction activities need water as an ingredient .
Mr Dennis Muramuzi Araali thanked Abahumuza Development Group for playing a pivotal role in organising a marathon aimed at saving R.Rwizi.
