Government of Uganda under Ministry of Health in partnership with Association of Surgeons of Uganda and Area leadership is organising a surgical camp in districts of Ankole Sub region ending on 28th September 2024.
In Bushenyi District; surgical camp will cover Bushenyi Health Centre IV , Kampala International University Teaching Hospital and Ishaka Adventist Hospital.
This surgical camp is intended to cause Health inclusion, patient centred approach and bring Health care nearer to people vis-as-vis surgery cases that would warrant referrals that go with high medical costs.
Government of Uganda is cognizant of the fact that to fulfil socio-economic transformation agenda; a healthy population is sine qua non and such free surgical camp mitigates this Health vacuum. To adumbrate it; Health and socio-economic transformation are intertwined because a healthy population is a productive one.
