I have keenly followed the gifts that Speaker’s office of 11th Parliament has recompensed to recently very important people and found out that gifts are locally made in Uganda from Cow horns and went further to inquire who manufacturers them. Cases in point include inter alia ; A gift that was given to Mr. Patrice motsepe – president of Confideration of African football , the very recent gift to Pope Francis in Rome by Rt Hon Speaker Among Anita Annet and 11th Parliament entourage. The gifts looked mob good and depicted cultural identity of Uganda. We salute 11th Parliament for embracing a modus operandi that empowers and promotes local manufacturers.
Our reporter talked to this local manufacturer who happens to be called Mr. Byanyima Eliman- a Makerere University graduate in humanities that started Hornbiz Investments Ltd situated at plot 318 Block 459 – Entebbe road that manufactures products from cow horns , sells l them locally and others exported to Europe and Asia.
